Westcoaster

MRS Bunkermeister and I went to the Westcoaster Toy Soldier Show this year.

We got a room at the hotel so I could buy things and bring them back right away, and not have to lug them around.

It was our vacation for the year.

Mostly I was looking for 60mm figures and a few 54mm to help fill in the gaps.

I got a few Tim Mee armored cars.

I also got a couple Tim Mee 2 1/2 ton trucks.

I got figures from Marx, Tim Mee, MPC and a few others.

I also got this rocket.

Bee Gee

Race planes made great technological advances in the 1920's and 1930's.

Several were developed as fighter planes, the Spitfire and the Bf109 participated in races.

The Bee Gee was never used as a warplane.

Still, at the time of it's use it was 50 miles per hour faster than most US fighters.

I used Magic-Sculpt to fill in the holes.

Bee Gee

Disney Planes  http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/El_Chupacabra character El Chupacabra is a Gee Bee Model R.

I took four of them and I am converting them into fighter planes.

It's a perfect 1/72nd scale wingspan.

I am filling in the holes on the bottom of the plane.

Tiki

I got these tikis from US Toy Co.

They are both primitive and other worldly.

60mm MPC African natives with green tiki models.

1/72nd scale Imex Korean War US Infantry.

Supply and Maintenance

Working on my M26 battalion and some other vehicles.

The Jeeps are from Paul Heiser Models.  The tanker truck is a Hot Wheels.

Trucks along the bottom are Roco.

Part of having a tank battalion is having the supply and maintenance vehicles.  Open truck is a Hot Wheels too.

The two Hot Wheels trucks are for one of my modern units.

Gee Bee Fighter

What if the Gee Bee racing plane was made as a fighter?

Looks a bit like the I-16 from Russia.

I managed to drop a whole tray of M26 Pershings.  Note the damaged fender, and gun.

A bit of clay to hold the barrel in place while I glue it together.  Happened during the Bee Gee painting.

Sky Grey XF-19 from Tamiya as the under side paint for the Gee Bee.

I figure 37mm cannon in the nose, and a couple .30 caliber mgs in each wing.

M110

More M110 goodness from Master Modeller Wayne Wanner.

The business on the left is designed to help handle the heavy shells.

The crew sits on a bench at the side of the vehicle.

One of the massive 155mm shells.

There are also seats on either side of the gun.

There used to be a ballistic cover for the crew area but I only saw it once.

M110

Master Modeller Wayne Wanner knows that proper research is critical to make master models.  Here are some photos Wayne took at a museum near him.

This is an M110 self-propelled gun.

Roco makes this and has forever.

I think this grill is to keep people from falling on the spade and is a museum addition.

A pretty impressive gun.

Hot Rod

Hot Wheels are making some vehicles that are a little more expensive.

As consolation, they are a little nicer!

The car has a lot of chrome.

The paint job is great.

The design looks good from any angle.

Hot Rod Batmobile

Hot Wheels has made another Batmobile.

This time it's a Hot Rod.

Made in Malaysia, not Communist China.

Nice color combinations, very Batman 66.
