Skrulls 1946

The Skrulls open fire.

Their infantry charges.

The troops go to ground and return fire.

The tanks move forward.

Tanks and infantry in close cooperation.

Skrulls

The Skrulls!

Here on Earth!

A massive Skrull raiding party has brought heavy weapons here to conquer the planet.

Their troops fan out as the US Army begins to respond.

A few of our newest tanks are here.

Pencil Sharpener

While at a museum I found this pencil sharpener.

It looks a lot like the old Action Fleet Starship Troopers gun.

I got four of them.

In this color it looks very steam punk.

I am sure it will find an important place in my miniature warfare.

Firetruck

This is a nice Matchbox firetruck.

Firetrucks stay in service for decades.

Even after removal from front line service they often get put into commercial service.

Or they go to foreign nations as gifts.

Shown here with a Roco 2 1/2 ton truck for size.

M26

Near the end of WWII the US Army fielded the M26 Pershing tank.  This one is a soft metal kit from Reviresco in HO scale.

One of them was modified in the field with a larger gun and extra armor plate.

The new gun was so long and heavy and required external recuperaters.

Hot Wheels and Rockets

This dune buggy even has rockets underneath.  Don't bottom out!

Looks like guns under the hood and rockets in the front of the grill.

My plan is to repaint them as US Army vehicles.

Here they are with Pegasus USMC Vietnam 1/72nd scale troops.

I think they look good together.

Rocket Launcher

This Hot Wheels car is called the Sting Rod.

It's an interesting vehicle.

This is sort of a rocket launching dune buggy.

It has rockets on top, on the side inside the door, and alongside the frame.

I think the rockets alongside the frame might not wear well on a gravel road.

Monster and FF

Ben Grimm fights the Mole Man's Monster.

Close up of the Human Torch.

This is a great monster.  He's huge and painted very well.  Arms move up and down.

Mole Man is very good.  It does look like he is standing on a hill Mole Man Monster poop.

The comic book is a very nice reprint.

The figures here in front of the Monster are the Battle Dice figures I usually use for Super Heroes.  This set is a heroic 28mm size.

Mole Man

This is the Masterworks Mole Man & Fantastic Four set out of the box.

I don't buy sets like this to stick on the shelf in a box.

I like to play with my toys, I am not running a toy museum.

You can see the Human Torch in the flame, very well done.

Sue Richards, the Invisible Girl is nicely detailed for a figure that is inside a hand.

The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, and a glimpse of Mole Man.

Masterworks

Fantastic Four issue 1, a reprint.

The same comic book reproduced in miniature.

This is a very high quality set, the plastic is thick, strong, and clear.

The cardboard parts are sturdy and nicely printed.

The reprint comic book is nice too.

The windows extend around to give a good view of the product.

The models are just over 28mm size.
