Lights in the Sky

The local Luftwaffe defense battalion swept the skies with their radar and saw no Soviet planes.

So they switched on their searchlights and give a small show in honor of the Tiger company.

Lighting up the area with a single massive searchlight.

The searchlight are designed for use in the air, but when pointed on the ground, they turn night into day.

Then, suddenly a light goes off in the sky.

Too bright to be a flare.  And the Luftwaffe says there is no aircraft on radar that could have dropped on.

The tank commander knew why they were sent to this area.  Strange lights in the sky and unusual activity on the ground means something is up...
