Tank Battalion

Trailers add important capacity for cargoes.  This photos also shows the mess trailer.

I have an M47 without a barrel.  It got broken and I got it in a used collection.  I save it for a potential project.  It may become a howitzer version, ARV or maybe even get a main gun upgrade.

Typically several trucks in the battalion will have a ring mounted .50 caliber machine gun for anti-aircraft defense.  Vans are used for small item repair or in this case, fire direction for the artillery.

The M59 is by Roskopf, I added a few extra tools for more detail.

A tank battalion with attached artillery is a lot of vehicles.

That is an awe-inspiring of armour! I'm guessing these are 50's Cold War Era?

Yes, FF, the M-47 was used briefly by the US Army during the Cold War. The threat was evolving quickly and the US went through M-46, M-47, M-48 and M-60 series all in a few years. The long service life of the M-1 is an anomoly.
