The Doctor, their guide and one of the sergeants were over come by the mist.
The men had to don gas masks to make the rescue.
It was hard going in the swampy ground to pull the unconscious men from around the pit, all the while wearing gas masks in the terrible heat and humidity of the jungle.
The other members of the party stood guard, not knowing what other dangers may be lurking in the undergrowth.
They rescue squad had to work fast to get the men away from the fumes. Strange vapors that came from outer space!
